Kalyn Nowlan graduated with a Bachelor’s of English Literature and a Certificate in Environmental Writing in Spring 2021. She is beginning her Masters in Library and Information Science in Fall 2021 (ideally with a focus in archival research) and hopes to pursue a career environmental archiving. She is from Urbana, Illinois and is passionate about making complex information more accessible to the general public- particularly marginalized groups. Kalyn spent a semester living in Leeds, England and spent time hiking and exploring various scenic locations in the UK National trust. Since then, she has been passionate about conservation and is a sustainability advocate. When she is not working on HIN, she can be found cooking, traveling, writing creatively, and doing yoga.
