Personal Story: Maia

“I like to be outside because it helps bring me back to the present. Going outside after a difficult day at school, or in life, is grounding, and really beneficial to my mental health. There is nothing better than walking in the summer and smelling fresh air. I also love spending time at the beach and laying in the sun. I spend a lot of time outside in the summers playing golf with my dad, or walking the dog with my mom and brothers. I also grew up going to sleep away summer camp which lead me to spend a lot of time outside connecting with friends, being in nature at camp was definitely a really great memory of the outdoors for me.”
