Personal Story: Julie

“My two favorite things are being by the water and the wind in my hair.”

Julie’s love for the outdoors includes everything from being on a boat on a lake to working in her home garden. She describes gardening and yard work as being “therapeutic” and says it helps her feel calm and at ease. Going flower shopping is also one of her favorite summertime activities, as she loves to decorate the exterior of her home with vibrant colored plants and outdoor decor. Going on walks is another great activity as it not only incorporates exercise into her daily life, but helps to clear her head when she is feeling overwhelmed. She encourages everyone to spend time outside when it is nice out and enjoy what nature has to offer.
