Lizzy LaSota

Fall 2021

My name is Lizzy LaSota. I am a junior at the University of Illinois studying Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in business. I am new to this major, but I am loving learning about the development of the mind and body. I enjoy reading fiction, cooking, music, sunflowers and going on long walks. I believe being out in nature is the best way to heal and feel oneness. I have always enjoyed going to forest preserves and lakes, but it was not until I came to campus that I realized the importance of being outside. The fresh air, sun, and grass are vital for mental health. I am excited to participate in this research study. I appreciate what Humans in Nature is promoting because after COVID mental health has increased. Humans in Nature is a great way to get people to go outside and enjoy the earth’s glories.
