Hello! My name is Kate, I’m a Junior majoring in HDFS. I’m from Evanston, which is the first suburb north of Chicago, and I love to spend time outside with my mom and dog! We are very lucky to have the beach near our house, so my summers are full of swimming and laying by the lake. When it’s not summer, my mom and I love to walk our family dog on the beaches of the lake path. It’s very peaceful being at the beach and it has always been a place I feel can clear my head. I joined this project because being in nature has always been important to my family and I, and I feel nature is extremely restorative and beneficial toward bettering connections, whether that be with my friends or family!
