Elida is a Senior Human Development and Family Studies major in the College of ACES with a minor in Psychology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She goes by Eli (pronounced “Ellie”). Besides being a student, she is a full time trainer of service dog Oakley in the Illini Service Dog RSO. Elida was born and raised in Cicero, IL. However she spent a lot of time growing up in Jalisco, Mexico, where she began her journey with nature’s healing aspects.
