Çagla is a doctoral student in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies. She received her bachelor`s degree in Psychology from Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. She is interested in the effects of globalization and modern forms of acculturation on (i) parent-child relationship (ii) co-parenting quality and (iii) child well-being, especially in families facing with adverse circumstances in the family (divorce or separation) or global (humanitarian crisis) levels. She aims to integrate and translate these subjects into research-based health promotion and preventive intervention programs and policies at national and international levels in service to refugee and immigrant children and families at-risk.
